Raw Iceland by Florian Ritter
In the spring of 2018, Florian Ritter embarked on an extraordinary 10-day journey along Route 1, Iceland’s famous Ring Road. This adventure led him through some of the most pristine and otherworldly landscapes on the planet, offering a glimpse into how the world might have looked thousands of years ago. Ritter’s series, “Raw Iceland,” encapsulates the raw, untouched beauty of this Nordic island, showcasing its dramatic terrain, moody skies, and the serene isolation that defines its wilderness.
Traveling through Iceland’s diverse scenery, Ritter captured everything from moss-covered volcanic rocks and imposing mountains to serene glacial lakes and rusting silos standing defiantly against the elements. Each photograph tells a story of timelessness and solitude, reflecting a land that has remained largely unchanged since the dawn of time.
