The Yellow Day

Since I get more & more about my style, finally some people might think now, I am more encouraged to play again, what feels really great. Just point and shoot, without any thinking, without any composition and without taking care of the light situation. And since I bought a couple of new filters for my 28mm f1.8 lense, I took the crazy yellow one and went for a walk. So none of those images are photoshopped. Real colors im my yellow pictures on my Yellow Day.
The pictures aren’t mind blowing, just want to share some yellow.

I am alive. After spending a couple of days in Los Angeles I went to San Diego and visited the destroyed houses from jurassic park 3. Awesome. San Diego is a beautiful little town 160 miles south of Los Angeles. I learned how to surf on waves and i think i am doing pretty good with 3 feet tall waves. Awesome. So far i surfed only for a couple of hours, but its so much fun I definitely want to do that again. San Diego is really quite I gave up the hope to meet locals from the town I spend time in. Everybody is from somewhere else. Pretty much the same with Hamburg and other german cities. The only thing I realized is the more south you go the more mexicans you see around doing the basic work: cleaning the streets, doing housekeeping and so on. I tried to speak to them but most of them speak only spanish. No chance. I need to learn spanish. Damn it. Its kind of hard to take pictures when you meet the people only for two days and you don’t have the chance to get into their life. Even when you don’t speack the language. That’s why i am looking forward to go to New Zealand. Spending more time in one city (villages). For 4 hours i went to Tijuana. The mexican border city. That was the first time in my life I saw a border city. Its amazing to see all this tourist stuff and 1 block below you see the poverty of those guys. I felt to uncomfortable to speak to this guys. Just a handfull of guys speaking english and I don’t speak any spanish again. Now i am upset about myself again. One more thing: In San Diego they have the same trolley as we do in Frankfurt. Painted in red instead of green.
After 3 days I dorve back to Los Angeles and Lindsay (i hope i wrote your name correct hun), a friend of Dominic, picked me up to go to Las Vegas. It was beatufil to drive in the sunset through the desert. Las Vegas is unbelieveble easy to describe: A lot of lights, alcohol, gambling and expensive places. It was a lot of fun though. There is no point to stay there longer as 2 days. I didn’t gamble at all. I saw all this unhappy faces and thought by myself: Why should I be the lucky person tonight. Friends of Lindsay told me already how much they lost which even made me more conviced to spend my money in drinks instead of slots.
On the 28th of august I took the greyhound (This bus is my home, bro) again and drove to San Francisco. I searched my hostel for one hour, because i didn’t write the name and the address down. That’s me guys. After I found this creepy gross (eklig) hostel I went to a pub and a lot of fun with australians, americans, italians and the piano player Paul. By the way, thats still my dream job: traveling the world and playing Piano for money. The stupid thing is I don’t play any known songs. Only improvising is my job. That causes me problems already in the senior home in Los Angeles. However, playing the piano is my real passion. Now you know it. Photography comes afterwards.
After spending one night in San Francisco, I travelled north to Eureka and camped at this place. I spend some days in Portland and arriced a couple of days ago in Seattle. After 2 days I went to vancouver. So far, so good. Everything is going well and I can’t wait to learn something again. Hopefully in New Zealand. If anybody knows a photographer in New Zealand, please let me know. Thanks for your patience.
I took so many pictures, I have no idea where to start to choose some of those. At least here is something.
I miss you all
