FITNESS IN CHINA
I want to start a new series and the picture above is the first one of it. About the idea: small and simple. Many people in the west wonder how chinese people can have such a long life. We mostly think about their food and chinese tea. Also chinese medicine is definetely a good reason for their high age. Who has been to China already, noticed people do the strangest thing where ever they are: Lifting Arms, circle their knees, dance, walk the stairs up and down and so on. In chinese cities you’ll find exercise places with many different kinds of equipment. Its free to use and people at any age are found at those places. This photo series will show the different kind of people who do their work out and introduces the equipment you’ll find.
我 回 来 南京 了。I AM BACK IN NANJING.
After climbing the chinese Wall up and down we stayed another night in Beijing before taking the train to Nanjing. Now I am back in the city where stayed 3 months, a year ago. Funny to see that a random city in this world can look like home, because of your memories.
The beginning of the last season.
I am finally on new roads again. This will be the first time since the beginning of June that I have traveled somewhere new. I will head towards the west of China, Tibet, Nepal and India from North to South with my beautiful travel mate Katja. Exciting, lalala.
By the way, I sold two pictures from my exhibition in Nanjing and got my payment for my photography job in Nanjing for MAP magazin, feels gooooooooood.

Since I have been to the states and had a break from Asia, I decided to be a little more tough regarding the way I take pictures. I always wanted to take more pictures of people and less landscape.
I would say landscape works for me now, I know when to shoot and where to move my camera to get some great stuff out of it. But in the end its not really satisfying. Right, I don’t really want to do those pictures. Now I am back in Asia and I will work on this. Shoot way more people instead of landscape. Its so much harder to go really close to people, to deal with a situation and create a composition every second from scratch, something which is moving all the time. I know it has to work. So, today I started to take pictures of people and yes, its so much fun. I want to reach a level in people photography as I reached in landscape and I have 3 month to go. gogogo.
I also don’t want to take so much more attention on composition and sharpness in the picture. I know on one hand its important but on the other hand you are missing so many opportunities to shoot if you care about those facts all the time. More courage, more people and therefore more the way of capture a moment instead of a mood. Thanks for sharing.
Oh, one more thing: More Color, yes. I am finally sick of sick colors.

Back to China and now with a new video supporting camera from Katja. That’s why you can see Katja and me taped on video in future from time to time to report from beautiful or crazy or both places. I think that’s pretty awesome. Unfortunately I do not have a video blog, so you need to be happy with downloading them. Enjoy Katja and Myself in their first video production in Longji, the famous rice terraces in Guangxi province. I am so vain, I can’t believe I am putting this stuff online. anyways. feel the vibe from here to asia – dip trip flip fantasia
hello people. i am so happy because I had a great time with my girlfriend Shawnee in Seattle. I am back to Asia and feels like .. yeah. back to real world and I wasn’t excited to travel anymore until I arrived here, tried my update in Chinese my girlfriend installed in my brain, and went out for watching the Typhoon, stroking over Hong Kong. I am not traveling alone anymore which is kinda good. A little weird though to slow down my pace in walking and stand still when somebody else wants to see something for a little longer. My new travel companion is my old friend Katja from university in germany. After she proudly left the world of slavery in Germany she is enjoying herself pretty much.
I am so pervert. I want to speak kinda like fluent Chinese when I am done with traveling through China. hahaha. Yes, pervert. Anyways, I am doing my best.
Today I had a really great talk already in a little restaurant with some people. And even the Chinese with a dialect people in Hong Kong speak was understand by me. YESSS. Thanks to Shawnee. Wo de laoshi.
So. I am happy I wrote this update. i just thought about that its kinda long time ago I wrote about my feelings and all my stuff. But most of the times its not really positive thoughts I wrote down here in my blog. So, since my thoughts are really positive since a while, there is no need to write about feelings. haha easy, right ?!
